There are three commonly used anti-blocking masterbatch: silica, oleic acid amide, and erucic acid amide.
During the processing and use of plastic film, the inherent properties of some resin or film products often cannot meet the required processing requirements, so it is necessary to add plastic function additives that can change its processing to change the performance of the product. As one of the necessary additives for blowing film, the following article will give you a detailed introduction.
1. Introduction of the type of anti-blocking masterbatch
(1) SiO2 anti-blocking masterbatch
This kind of anti-blocking masterbatch can well maintain the brightness of the film, has strong anti-viscosity and dispersion, and can be evenly dispersed in the film, on the surface of the film to form many fine hard protrusions, thus reducing the contact area between the film, to reduce the friction coefficient of the film surface, so that the film is easy to open, at the same time because of these protrusions, the external air is easy to enter the two layers of the film, Avoid forming a vacuum between the two layers of film to prevent film adhesion.
Application:
Can be used for PP, PE, and other film products.
(2) Oleic acid amide
Oleate amide, also known as oleate amide, must be added to the processing plant in the form of a mixture or masterbatch of 0.1-0.15% to ensure a uniform smooth effect.
The use of polyethylene film can reduce the friction between the internal friction film and the transmission equipment in the process of processing, easy demolding, thus increasing the yield and improving the surface gloss of the product. PE has a good opening effect, but it has a big taste, and fast precipitation, which affects corona and printing, especially since the temperature requirements are strict, and the dosage is different in summer and winter.
In general, oleic amide migrates to the surface quickly, but erucic amide has a lower long-term friction coefficient and better thermal stability than oleic amide.
(3) Erucerate amide
It can be used as CPP, BOPP, LDPE, LLDPE, EVA, PVC, PVDF, PVDC, PU, and metallocene polyethylene plastic film. By reducing the static and static friction coefficient on the surface of the product (film or sheet), the machinability and packaging efficiency of the film is improved, and the additive amount is about 0.12%.
Erucic acid amide has the advantages of strong smoothness, less precipitation, high-temperature resistance, and not easy to turn yellow.
Application:
As a BOPP anti-blocking masterbatch, the packing speed can be up to 500~800 packets per minute, and the friction coefficient must be less than 0.2. Only Erucic acid amide (Only about 12%) can be added to obtain an accurate static and dynamic friction coefficient.
In addition to being used alone, it can also produce PP erucic acid amide and oleic acid amide which require high smoothness. It can be used for blowing film masterbatch with a more ideal effect.
2. How to choose an anti-blocking masterbatch
According to the production experience of the masterbatch manufacturer, the choice of amide and silica is very important in the anti-blocking masterbatch.
The quality of amide is uneven, resulting in the influence of masterbatch on the film from time to time, such as big taste, black spots on the film, etc., which is mostly because the limited content of plastic additives is not pure. The selection process should be based on the performance of the amide detection and used to determine.
The selection of silica is very important, from the particle size, specific surface area, water content, surface treatment, and other aspects of consideration, and has an important impact on the masterbatch production and film production process.
